Timeslot(s): Sunday 3:00 PMIn this class we will look at the reductionist view Viggiani has on fencing – how he arrived at his singular technique (his ‘perfect defense’), how his conclusions can be applied to other Bolognese masters in their discussions on the fight with the spada di filo and training new fencers, and contrast these with with ‘common’ methods of fencing.
Required Equipment: Fencing mask/helm, gorget, gloves, one-handed sword (rapier, sidesword or arming sword)
