Matheus Alfred-Olmedo

Matheus (he/him) began studying historical European martial arts at Academie Duello in May 2011, achieving the rank of Freescholar in 2012 and Provost in 2018. He’s been teaching for the majority of that time, with a broad interest in all medieval and renaissance weapons. His technical proficiency covers rapier (and secondaries), longsword, large two-handed swords, sidesword, and polearms, in particular spear and shield. His Provost examination included a performance of Manciollino’s Sword and Cape plays, and he’s since delved and interpreted the Bolognese’s use of the Two-Handed Sword and of the rotella with sword and spear.
