In this class we will look at the basics of Angelo Veggiani’s ‘Lo Schermo’ and how an in-depth review of his work can inform interpretations of the other Bolognese masters. We will cover body mechanics, how to categorize the guards – giving us a methodology to recall the numerous guards in the Bolognese tradition, tempo, and what are the advantages we seek so that we may strike and not be struck.
