Guro Shawn Zirger is a highly respected instructor in Southeast Asian martial arts and a full Dog Brother fighter.
True to the Jeet Kune Do approach, he continues to study across systems and holds instructor-level ranks in Jeet Kune Do (JKD), Filipino Martial Arts (FMA), and Silat, with additional study lines that include bladed and weapons work. He is also known for extensive full-contact weapons experience as a Dog Brother (full-contact stick fighting).
With years of experience training across multiple disciplines, Shawn has built a reputation for his deep knowledge of blade combat and his hands-on, no-nonsense approach to teaching.
Having previously taught in Vancouver, Shawn is returning for these special seminars at VISS on his way back from an international teaching tour in Australia and Japan.
