Serious martial practice is a crucible for character development. Facing fear is a calcination–a burning off of that which does not matter. Facing yourself is a separation–an identification of what you truly are. Facing your fears and facing yourself are actually existential quests that lead to the natural development of character.
In this two part interactive workshop we will revisit some of the concepts that Mike introduced last year, this time focusing on how character naturally arises through practice and why character matters in the context of the martial arts and as an answer for a cynical world.
